Hunan Restaurant - (319) 338-8885

Personally, I thought the place was wonderful. Inside, everything looked very authentic and nice Chinese melodies played while we ate dinner. The food was great! Better than I've had at many places in Coralville/Iowa City area. I recommend carry-out, unless you have time to enjoy the stay. Our waitress was very good and talkative, but the other girl I noticed was very shy, maybe she was new. Anyway, try it out!

The last time we ate at Hunan I must admit I was a bit disappointed. I really enjoy Asian cuisine and therefore when a business does not meet my every need (read have all my favorites) then I tend to be disappointed in it as a whole. This restaurant was lacking in many of its dishes that day and those that were available weren't up to my standards of freshness. I also was a bit on the disappointed side when it came to customer service...we only saw one employee the entire visit and she did not seem wiling to mingle with the customers. In short I don't see our family returning to this restaurant in the near future...there are far too many others out ther that have great customer service and stellar food. But, as I say...this is one woman's opinion...take it or leave it. PROS: ....none except for the location CONS: ....read the review, it says it all
